It's not that we are

On August 1st, 2008 bob says:

It's not that we are uninterested, it's just that there is only so much time. I'll admit, I can't tell you the names & teams of the top riders in the 250s and definitely not in the 125s, but I do watch and enjoy the races. Unfortunately, we have so much to talk about with MotoGP and the occasional digression into AMA, World Supers, and track days, that there is just not enough time. Have you considered doing a podcast of your own about 125s and 250s? Seriously. There's not enough good content out there.

Do your homework, please.

While I agree with Jules (duck down and look for lightening) that the ITV coverage of F1 blows Speed TV's coverage away (big surprise there), referring to Martin Brundle as 'some guy' makes me wonder how much beer you choads have been sampling this week.
You two wouldn't sound like such twats if you just used google and did your homework before opening your toothless gobs.
The fellow wandering around the F1 grid for ITV before each race interviewing people is Martin Brundle. Former team mate of Michael Schumacher (you guys recognize this name don't you?) at Benneton Ford, he finished as high as seventh in world championship two separate years. After his F1 career he was partnered with the legendary Murray Walker for the ITV F1 television production in the UK.
Mark Blundell, another of the ITV commentary team is also a former F1 driver and was Martin Brundle's team mate in the Brabham team in 1991.
Steve Rider, James Allen, Ted Kravitz, and Louise Goodman round out the rest of the ITV F1 commentary team. I have never heard of any of these folks but I know how to use google and I like to think that I have at least a 2nd grader's grasp of English.

I'll take listening to these two guys over Peter Windsor and David Hobbs any day of the week!
If you think it is painful to watch to Peter Windsor get snubbed by even the mechanics on the F1 grid you should try to listening to podcasters slur their words and refer to podium finishing former F1 drivers as 'some guy'.

Thanks for the podcast and keep up the good work, heh.

Wow, choads and twats...

On August 1st, 2008 bob says:

Wow, choads and twats... Harsh. This is after all a show about MotoGP. My interest in F1 is only in passing, so to speak, and I think Jules has even less interest. So, yes, I'll admit, we get the names wrong and I for one have generally had a few beers so I might very well slur the F1 podium finisher's names, but we tend to use F1 as an example of how it can translate to MotoGP. IMHO, the Speed commentary team is excellent, considering they are doing commentary for what most NASCAR fans consider a furrin fag sport, and my point is that I just wish MotoGP was popular enough in the US to rate a similar team. Because I didn't notice your comment for a few weeks (probably having too many beers), I am writing this after CBS has done the commentary for Sachsenring and Laguna Seca. Yes, it needed some polishing, but I would like to have that kind of customized commentary for every MotoGP race.

OTOH, I do appreciate your comment and I will try harder to do my homework in the future! =)
